excess power in the lines that WERE required for the halogens'. The LEDs dont consume as much, so you can consider it 'burn-off' .. its not enough to drain the battery or anything. lol

at least that's what I get when reading about this conversion :)

Well, Just changed my 4 dome lights.
My experience is as follows:

Taking the covers off, use a small flat head and be careful, they will come off. Do not pry at the part where you push to turn the light on, pry the other end.
DO NOT turn the bulbs, the assembly will fall inside. This happened to me (silly I know). Two #4 hex screws in the sunglass holder hold it in place, if you need to remove it.
Once cover is off, pull out the chrome backing, it comes out easy and makes removing the bulbs easier.
Pull the bulb out somehow.
Put chrome cover back on, put bulb in. Stick screw driver up where the little white button is to turn on the light, if it does not turn on, remove bulb and turn it around.
Carefully put the clear cover back on, starting with the flat tab where the button is. Slide it gently over the button, because the buttons will fall out inside.
done.

Back dome lights:
Repeat front lights.
When putting the clear cover on, i pushed a button inside and thought everything was over. Not so.
No screws hold this one in, pull very hard on the back of the housing (by the rear window).
two metal tabs hold it up in there.
carefully slide button back where it is supposed to be, and re-plug in the assembly.

Looks much nicer! I also did one of my vanity mirrors, because I foolishly only ordered 2x 74-whp SMD mini wedge base bulbs cool white. Need 4
those are harder to get apart, you should pry from the plastic edge, not the mirror edge, but be careful either way.

EDIT: My lights do not stay on like some of you were saying, buy better LEDS. My dome lights were 13$ a piece at superbrightleds, don't forget, you get what you pay for.

I didnt the same thing...turning the bulb and had to take down the whole thing. :)

Any chance you could get a pic of the vanity ones? Trying to decide if it would be worth changing those.

If you really want a pic, I'll go grab one now. It's so much nicer, just need to put in an order for the passenger bulbs. I'll go take 3, one with white, one with yellow, one with both open and on.

LED bulb

Stock bulb

Both side by side taken from back seat

The pictures were done at night and don't even do the lights justice. Looks sooo much cleaner with white led lights.

Just ordered two more. With 2.99 shipping, came to 7.97
Of course, the more you order, the more the shipping cost gets spread out.

Oracle Lighting already sells the resistor, they called LED LOAD EQUALIZER SKU: RX2450W6RF

I would like to try it, let you know guys.
Did you try it, I tried looking for it on their site and don't see it.

Just replaced my interior domes with 6K SMD flank LEDs...much brighter/cleaner. What bulb are you guys using for your license plates? I know its a 194/WLED, but the one I bought was too long to fit in the housing?

Also, the 7330 SMD LEDs I ordered from vLEDs.com was not CANBUS, so I'm getting the error message, but those jokers are bright.

My wife complained about the vanity LEDs. She said it was too bright and she couldn't see herself in the mirror. She prefer the stock lights in the vanity.
That's weird, I found the stock actually had more light output than the LED, because the LED faced each other in terms of light direction, loosing most of the light output. Just looks nicer is all.

Anyone know of the type of LED's that will work with the license plate light and get no error message?

You have to find a WLED light that is "CANBUS proof" with the built in resistors.
I bought some and it didn't work! For some reason I keep on getting the license plate out every 3 minutes and it keeps on beeping!! Anyone else have this problem? I tried regular LEDs and the canbus proof style and it made it worse. I might just have to go back to the regular bulb until someone comes up with the solution or any of you guys have had success with some LEDs and would provide me the link to the exact ones. Hope to hear from someone soon.
